Why do so many of us have a relationship with food that is out of balance? Why do so many diets, packaged meal programs, therapies, and even radical surgeries work only temporarily?
Because they address only the surface issue of calories and portions and exercise and ignore what we truly hunger for: a life that satisfies our deepest yearning to express ourselves as caring, loving, creative, social beings. We want to participate fully in the lives we know deep in our hearts we were meant to live. And when we don’t we mistakenly feed (or deprive) ourselves in an attempt to make ourselves whole.
